Is Daybreak (South Jordan) a Good Place to Relocate for New Construction?

Daybreak in South Jordan is probably the most developed and complete master-planned community in Utah. The amenities are the draw: multiple clubhouses, gyms, miles of walking trails, lakes you can paddleboard or paddleboat on, basketball and pickleball courts, and a TRAX light-rail station in the community (Daybreak is served by TRAX, not FrontRunner). The downsides are mostly cost and HOA. Daybreak’s HOA runs a bit higher than other Salt Lake County areas, though given the amenities and the maturity of the development, many buyers find it worth it. There is also a smaller selection of homes and a smaller set of builders than in other new-construction areas. Resale homes are available in the older Daybreak villages and Downtown Daybreak, but you do not get builder interest-rate incentives on a resale. Lot sizes cover a good range – many are small, and larger lots exist but at a significant price premium.
