As of September 2026, Salt Lake County has roughly 490 active new-construction listings, and four cities hold most of them: Herriman (about 87), South Jordan (about 83), West Jordan (about 82), and West Valley City (about 73). Everything else in the county is small — Salt Lake City and Sandy sit around 25 each, and most other cities have fewer than 20. New building in Salt Lake County is concentrated in the southwest corner, along the point of the mountain and the west side; east of I-15 it is almost entirely luxury infill. These counts and prices are a snapshot of active MLS listings as of September 2026 and shift week to week; they cover homes posted to the MLS, not every builder’s inventory.
